FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anicea Shawn Ivie born: March 5, 2008, 12:11 a.m. 6lbs 7.4 oz 20.5" Good morning everybody. Yesterday(Tuesday), Sue's water broke around 5:45 p.m. I'm not sure if you could ever be prepared for it to happen IN THE CAR! I immediately called labor and delivery and said I think my wife's water has just broken and they promptly replied: what makes you think that? I replied: Cause she just told me it did. When will women ever believe men? Probably never. We weren't far from home so we grabbed our stuff while Jen & Jared rescued Jake (thanks a ton guys) and headed for St. Mark's. We arrived and pretty much to a waiting crew, they whisped us to a room and immediately checked her and she was only dialated to a 3.5 still. We coudn't believe she hadn't progressed at all. At 10:40 or so she still had only progressed to a 4 and we both thought we were in for a long night. Much to our surprise they checked again at 11:30 and Anicea was right there and ready to come into this world. By the time we got set up and started right after midnight, Sue pushed 4 or 5 times and there she was at 00:11 or (12:11 a.m.). Mother and Baby are doing great. Anicea did go to NICU to be evaluated. She did get a little cold last night so they have her in an isolette but we hope she we be upstairs with mom soon.
